Golfing excellence celebrated at the 2023 Gala Irish Golf Awards
A night to remember at the Irish golf tourism industry’s biggest prize-giving ceremony

The 26th year of the Irish golf tourism industry’s biggest prize-giving ceremony, presented as always by the Ireland Golf Tour Operator Association (IGTOA), was held recently in the stunningly refurbished Slieve Donard Hotel Newcastle, Co. Down.

Pete Snodden, host of Cool FM's Breakfast Show, was MC for the black-tie soiree which opened with a welcome address from IGTOA Chairman Denis Kane.

It was a night to savour for the some of the best known golf courses in Ireland with Dromoland Castle receiving the showcase of the year award for the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, the K Club winning Parkland Course of the year, The Merrion Hotel being awarded Large Golf Hotel of the Year and Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort receiving the third service excellence award of the night.

Padraig Treacy of the Killarney Park Hotel, synonymous with hospitality and golf tourism, was presented with the ‘Jerry Donworth Outstanding Contribution to Golf’ award.
