Having a ball! The Cork Branch of the Irish Hotels Federation celebrated their annual Tourism Ball with a black-tie dinner in the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs last week. Over 350 guests, including hoteliers, suppliers and tourism bodies gathered to celebrate the sector and its teams.
This year’s nominated charities were the Clonakilty Day Centre Cope Foundation and Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, with proceeds raised on the evening split between these fantastic causes.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Cork Branch of the IHF Joe Kennedy stated: ”We are delighted to see such a strong turnout to our Tourism Dinner which enables us to recognise members and employees across the hotel & guesthouse sector in Cork. It’s great to see everyone enjoying themselves and we thank Elis, Allfresh and McCarthy's Meat Market and all our sponsors, suppliers, the organising committee, members and guests for their support in making the evening a huge success”.
