IHF Skillnet recently hosted a ‘Prosperous Kitchen Team Masterclass’ for Hotel Executive Chefs and Head Chefs at Carton House, A Fairmont Managed Hotel. The masterclass, held with the coaching and mentoring expert Professor David Clutterbuck, was designed to support Chef Leaders with the changing needs of their teams.

One of the many highlights of the event was the honest, authentic storytelling from Gareth Mullins, Executive Chef at Anantara, The Marker and Gary Rogers, Executive Chef at Carton House. These senior Hotel Chef Leaders shared their stories of challenge and overcoming adversity, striking a chord with many in the room with their authentic words and humility.

Commenting on the event, Gareth Mullins, Executive Chef at Anantara, The Marker Dublin Hotel said “The Chef Masterclass led by David Clutterbuck was a truly inspiring, thought provoking & well needed conversation among likeminded professionals. We are looking forward to the next steps in this exciting training journey.”

The IHF Skillnet thanks Professor David Clutterbuck and Executive Coach Una Crilly for their invaluable insights into effective leadership, team dynamics and conflict resolution at this inaugural masterclass. IHF Skillnet will be continuing this training journey for Hotel Chef Leaders in 2024.
