Sligo Park Hotel has enhanced its facilities with an Italian designed and made luxurious pergola. The pergola is the latest feature at the hotel which has invested more than €5 million into its facilities over the last number of years.
The ‘Med Azimut’ is a luxurious aluminium pergola designed to create a harmonious interface between being inside and outdoors. It will be where future weddings and event guests will be greeted as they arrive at the hotel.
The pergola is mounted on structural pillars and has a fully retractable motorised fabric roof. It is also equipped with sliding glass walls and infra-red heating, so the space can be made to feel warm and cosy in the winter months or adapted to provide a cool, shaded environment during the summer.
At night, the structure comes into its own with integrated colour-changing lights and white central spotlights – creating a breath-taking spectacle as you approach the entrance to the hotel.
Sligo Park Hotel General Manager and Director Gerard Moore said: “We are delighted with our new ambient, indoor-outdoor area for our wedding and event guests and residents. We wanted to create a nice space exclusively for receiving our wedding arrivals and for our residents to use as a pleasant area to sit and relax in during afternoons and evenings. The finished pergola is a wonderful enhancement of Sligo Park Hotel’s facilities, and we look forward to seeing our wedding guests and residents enjoying spending time there.”
