Cork Airport is set to welcome over 57,000 passengers this June Bank Holiday Weekend. Thousands from the UK, Continental Europe and further afield will touch down in Cork over the coming days, to holiday in the South of Ireland.
Ryanair will commence operating new summer routes to Rhodes and Zadar next week. The service to Rhodes starts this Saturday (June 1) and will operate twice-weekly (Wednesday, Saturday). The new service to Zadar in Croatia starts on Monday (June 3) and will also operate twice-weekly (Monday, Friday). Both services will operate until the end of October. Direct flights to two popular French cities will also make a return this month as Ryanair services to La Rochelle and Carcassonne recommence over the coming days.
Niall MacCarthy, Managing Director at Cork Airport said: “Summer has really kicked off at Cork Airport. We’re seeing strong loads, both inbound and outbound, across all our routes. When you experience the convenience of Cork Airport, we are confident you will not want to fly from any other Irish airport. If you’re living anywhere in Munster or South Leinster, we’re only a short hop away.”
