More than 40 Dublin-based accommodation, attractions, and activity providers recently presented their offerings in one-on-one meetings with 27 Irish tour operators and Destination Management Companies at a Fáilte Ireland workshop at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane, Dublin. These operators, among the most influential in Ireland, are keen to expand their leisure and luxury business to promote Ireland and Dublin to their clients for the 2025 travel season.

The luxury and leisure markets present significant opportunities for sustainable growth in Irish tourism. According to Fáilte Ireland research, international visitors are seeking authentic Irish experiences that involve engaging with local communities. Moreover, eco-friendly and sustainable tourism options are crucial for attracting international travellers in 2025.

The one-on-one meetings offered accommodation, attraction, and activity providers a valuable opportunity to grow their business by collaborating with 27 top Irish tour operators and DMCs. Collectively, these operators contribute over €800 million to Ireland’s economy each year. By highlighting Dublin’s diverse tourism attractions and activities, was designed to influence new travel itineraries for these high-profile tour operators and DMCs, enhancing the city’s status as a leading leisure and luxury destination.

Commenting about the exciting potential business opportunities for Dublin, Paul Mockler, Fáilte Ireland’s Head of Commercial Development said: “Specifically, the luxury market, known for its higher spending, offers a chance for sustainable growth in Irish tourism over the long term. This segment demands tailored and customised experiences that align with their interests and motivations, focusing more on experiential elements rather than materialistic ones. To effectively target these market segments, Ireland must offer a diverse range of luxury accommodations and a robust portfolio of unique experiences and products that consistently meet the expectations of luxury travellers.”
