Killashee Hotel recently hosted its Long Service Awards, which recognise staff members for their dedication of long-standing service. This is a formal ceremony that takes place every two years to acknowledge and award staff members who have served 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of service with a certificate and gift.
Killashee Hotel now employees 343 people representing 22 different nationalities who work across the hotel, spa, leisure centre and estate. Over the past two years, since FBD Hotels & Resorts acquired the hotel, the number has grown by over 100 additional people.
In total the hotel celebrated 465 years of experience of significant milestone and work anniversaries. Margaret McConville in the banqueting department has the highest length of service at 23 years, while Orla McCabe Director of Sales & Marketing, celebrated 22 years. A total of 43 employees were celebrating five and more years of service with Killashee.
Killashee Hotel was awarded the Best Employer mark based on all employee survey completed with Workbly and achievement of Great Places to Work certification in November.
