Radisson RED Galway is currently under construction and is scheduled to open its doors later this year. The bold new hotel will feature 177 rooms, each reflecting Radisson RED’s vibrant signature style and design which incorporates art, music, and fashion to offer an unforgettable stay to all guests.

Designed by the renowned Henry J. Lyons Architects, as part of the ambitious new Crown Square Development, Radisson RED Galway will be an eight-storey building with impressive views over Galway Bay and the hills of Clare from the rooftop bar and restaurant. Crown Square is a mere 5-minute drive from Galway’s bustling city centre and is the perfect base for guests to discover the city’s historic streets.

The overall project which will see 40 million investment is being developed by the Galway based Rhatigan Group and built by the long-established JJ Rhatigan & Company. Rhatigan Group are also responsible for the development of Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin City Centre and the award winning Dublin Royal Convention Centre, a €20m state of the art Convention Centre which opened in the heart of Dublin last year.

Adela Cristea, Vice President, Business Development UK, Ireland & Nordics at Radisson Hotel Group said: “We are delighted to introduce Radisson RED to Ireland and specifically to Galway with this momentous signing and are pleased to be working closely with the Rhatigan Group once again in their hometown. Radisson RED Galway is testament to their vision, and we are thrilled to be part of this project. Galway is the perfect home for the Radisson RED brand — a place where vibrant atmosphere, unique charm, and rich cultural heritage come together. We are delighted to be joining the community.”

Padraic Rhatigan, Principle of the Rhatigan Group, said: “We are proud to be bringing this new high quality destination hotel to our home city of Galway. Radisson RED is a great fit for our city, and we are looking forward to revealing the standout design and sophisticated offering in our hometown.”
