Tourism Ireland has scooped a major travel award in Canada – ‘Best Tourist Board UK / Europe / Middle East / Africa’ – at the TravelPulse Canada Readers’ Choice Awards. The award was presented to Tourism Ireland in downtown Toronto at the 5th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, now a major event in the travel industry calendar in Canada.

For the second year in a row, Tourism Ireland took the number one spot, coming in ahead of competitor tourist boards, including Italy, France, Great Britain, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain.

TravelPulse Canada is a key resource for travel industry professionals and thousands of travel advisors across Canada placed their votes to recognise the outstanding achievements of people and organisations working in the travel trade in Canada.

Welcoming the award, Sandra Moffatt, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Canada, said: “TravelPulse Canada is a key resource for our travel trade partners here in Canada, so we are delighted to have been recognised as the number one tourism board in our category, for the second year in a row, as voted by their readers! I would like to take this opportunity to thank our travel trade partners – who continue to play a very important role in helping us to inspire Canadian holidaymakers to choose the island of Ireland. We are grateful for their ongoing support and we look forward to our continued work together in welcoming Canadians to the island of Ireland in 2024 and beyond."
