The Kingsley Hotel is delighted to announce the promotion of Rodrigo De Fino Bender to Director of Food & Beverage. Originally from Brazil, Rodrigo relocated to Ireland in 2018, settling in Cork.

With over five years' experience as a project manager in Brazil, Rodrigo's move to Ireland marked a pivotal career shift. He began working as a linen porter in the Fota Island Lodge accommodation department, where his dedication and strong work ethic was quickly recognised and Rodrigo was promoted to the role of Assistant Lodge Accommodation Manager. In January 2021, Rodrigo embraced a new challenge, joining Kinsale Hotel and Spa as Duty Manager. His leadership skills and commitment to excellence led to his promotion to Food & Beverage Manager later that year.

Rodrigo returned to the Fota Collection in October 2023 as Food & Beverage Manager at The Kingsley. Within his first year, he was voted ‘Manager of the Year’ by his colleagues - an achievement reflecting his leadership philosophy of fostering strong team connections, active listening and swift action.

Now serving as Director of Food & Beverage at The Kingsley, Rodrigo continues to drive excellence in hospitality. Passionate about team development and guest experience, he has made a very positive impact on culture and building relationships with strong value-based Leadership. Rodrigo is proud to work at The Kingsley and the hotels is very grateful to have Rodrigo as part of the team.
